Imaginary homelands-27.jpg

Walking the streets of a city (Lisbon, Macau, London) with teeth on edge, heart in mouth. Eyes peeled. The names of streets weave a haiku of sorts. Walk walk walk.

Geographies and anatomies have secret affinities. Walking helps anxiety; it cures love-sickness.

42 drawings, watercolour and Indian ink on Canson watercolour paper (300g), 29x 42cm each.

Imaginary Homelands (2001

Exhibited at Galeria Gomes Alves, Guimarães, Portugal, 2002, and Centre Culturel Calouste Gulbenkian, Paris, 2003.
