One hundred days (1997)
One hundred days in Australia.
The girl with curly hair wonders if the glass is half empty or half full. She’s gone round the world only to find herself obsessing about the same old rubbish.
She ponders about Oz words and accents, the big horizon, the desert, the feeding habits of marsupials and mammals, the looming sky and its constellations, driving a ‘ute’, the Kama Sutra. Her perspective is a little bit adjusted.
100 drawings, watercolour on Canson paper (300g), 297 x 42 mm each, 1997.
Exhibited at: Robert Hayes Gallery Claremont School of Art, Perth, Australia, 1997, and Módulo, Lisbon, 1998.
