imaginary homelands

42 drawings, watercolour and Indian ink on Canson watercolour paper (300g), 297mm x 420 mm each, 2001.

Walking the streets of a city (Lisbon, Macau, London) with one’s teeth on edge, one’s heart in one’s mouth… or on one’s sleeve. The names of streets weave a haiku of sorts. Walk walk walk. Geographies and anatomies have secret affinities.

Exhibited at Galeria Gomes Alves, Guimarães, Portugal, 2002, and Centre Culturel Calouste Gulbenkian, Paris, 2003.
